Preliminary Task

Last week we did our preliminary task which we have now editted but need to upload to YouTube so that we can post it onto our blog.
We used 180 degree shot reverse shots when Ben and Cecily were talking. This produced continuity and prevents confusion for the audience. Also we used match on action so that the shots were smooth and ran into each other with no jolts. For extra continuity, we de-interlaced all the clips, although the rendering afterwards took a long time to process.

locations

Our first location was filmed in the middle of hampstead heath London, where we filmed and directed the 'chase scene' between our male protagonist and antagonist. Luckily for us, it was snowing on the day we filmed which not only added a great scenery but a sense of loss and fear. Most importantly, it is clear that it is winter, which gives us a cold feeling that is perfect for a thriller.
we are going to continue to film in a number of other places, including :
central london in an enclosed abandoned office,
Elli's house
the tube
and some more touch ups on the heath.

casting

Rufus Dye-montefior : playing the role of Kevin Langly - the private investigator , and detective. We didnt want to make our opening sequence to much of a stereo-type by casting someone who looks very much the part. we wanted to add a sense of confusion and twist by making rufus the detective, so it would be unexpected, and more importantly unpredictable. Rufus has the perfect height and charisma to play Kevin Langly.

Zoe Weinstien : playing the role of Jane Noback. We thought zoe would fit the role of Jane perfectly, as she gives us a sense of vunerability and fear as a character. she has a slim figure and is easy to work around with hair and make-up and the different parts she will be playing.
